Duchess Roman Tub Filler

The Kingston Brass KS4301PKL Duchess Roman tub filler is a deck-mounted bath tap set finished in polished chrome with black porcelain lever handles. It is designed for homeowners who want a traditional two-handle look and a high-flow spout for faster tub filling. Solid brass construction and ceramic disc cartridges are intended to provide long-term, leak-free operation.

Installation and common issues

The unit mounts on the tub deck with two separate handle bases and a central spout, requiring three cut-outs and access beneath the deck for supply connections. The 8.5 inch spout reach must align with the tub interior so water lands in the basin, not on the rim. Mis-measured hole spacing or insufficient clearance behind the deck are the most frequent causes of rework.

Practical limits of the fixture

The spout delivers up to 8.06 gpm, so flow rate will be limited by the home’s supply pressure and pipe sizing rather than the valve itself. Ceramic disc cartridges resist wear but can be damaged by debris in unflushed supply lines. The polished chrome finish shows water spots and requires regular gentle cleaning to maintain appearance.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 8.06 gpm flow rate is working correctly after installation?

Run both black porcelain lever handles fully open and time how long it takes to fill a known-volume bucket; the measured rate should match the 8.06 gpm specification.

What components are included with the KS4301PKL and what must be purchased separately?

The tub filler includes the 8.5 inch reach spout, black porcelain lever handles, solid brass valve body and ceramic disc cartridges; supply lines and rough-in fittings are not included.

Which finish and handle combination should I choose for a polished chrome tub with black porcelain accents?

Select the polished chrome model with black porcelain lever handles — this is the only version offered for the Duchess Roman tub filler.
