512MB DDR 266 (PC 2100) unbuffered 184-pin SDRAM module built for HP/Compaq systems
This Kingston 512MB module uses a 184-pin DDR interface running at DDR 266 (PC 2100). It is built for HP/Compaq systems that reference part numbers such as 175925-001 or DC165A. The stick is unbuffered, non-ECC and has no heat spreader.
It suits owners of compatible HP/Compaq desktops or workstations needing a direct replacement or capacity increase. Systems requiring ECC, registered modules, higher DDR speeds or a different pin count cannot use this part.
The module operates at DDR 266, also labelled PC 2100, which determines whether it matches the memory bus of the target machine. If the host system requires a different DDR speed grade, this module will not function correctly.

Align the notch on the module with the key in the 184-pin slot, press firmly until the retaining clips click, and verify the system detects the full 512MB at DDR 266.
No scheduled maintenance is required; the unbuffered DDR SDRAM has no heat spreader or moving parts, so it runs until a fault appears or you upgrade capacity.
The 512MB capacity ceiling is reached before bandwidth or thermal limits, so heavy multitasking will hit the size constraint first.
