6.56 ft DisplayPort 1.4 cable

The Kirzi DisplayPort cable links a DP 1.4 source to a DP 1.4 display over a 6.56 ft run. It serves desktop users, laptop owners and gamers who need a male-to-male connection for monitors, projectors or multi-screen setups.

Replaces shorter or older DP 1.2 cables

Swapping a shorter cable or a DP 1.2 link for this 2.0 m DP 1.4 cable is worthwhile when the seating distance exceeds the old lead or when the display demands 4K at 60 Hz or 2K at 165 Hz. The extra length and higher bandwidth headroom remove the need for extenders in typical desk-to-monitor runs.

Handles 4K@60Hz and 2K@165Hz with shielding to spare

Bare copper conductors, foil and braid shielding, and gold-plated connectors support mirror, extended and gaming modes at the rated resolutions and refresh rates. The cable runs out of headroom beyond 4K@60Hz or 2K@165Hz, so displays needing higher bandwidth require a different specification.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.56 ft cable need any special bracket or clearance behind the monitor?

The male-to-male DisplayPort 1.4 connectors fit standard ports; no bracket is required, just allow enough depth for the plug and latch.

What is the correct way to unplug the DisplayPort 1.4 connector without damaging the latch?

Press the release button on the connector body before pulling; yanking the cable while the latch is engaged can break the tab.

When should the 2.0 m cable be replaced to keep 2K@165Hz performance reliable?

Replace it if the latch no longer clicks, the jacket shows kinks or cuts, or the link drops to lower refresh rates during gaming.
