Versatile Kitchen Tongs

The KitchenAid KO089OHSSA stainless steel tongs measure 7 inches and suit everyday flipping, serving and sautéing tasks. Scalloped edges grip food securely without tearing or piercing delicate items. A locking mechanism keeps the arms closed for compact drawer storage. The single-piece construction weighs 0.104 kilograms and is dishwasher safe for quick cleanup.

Sustained Heat Handling

Stainless steel construction tolerates repeated exposure to cooking temperatures without warping or discolouration. The polished finish resists staining from sauces and oils during extended prep sessions. Heat transfers along the arms, so a cloth or mitt is advisable when working over high heat for long periods. No coating wears away, so performance stays consistent over years of daily use.

Simple Setup And Care

No assembly is required; the tongs function straight from the package. Engage the slide lock by squeezing the handles together until the catch clicks, then pull the release tab to open. Dishwasher cleaning is approved, though hand washing preserves the polished look longer. The only common issue is the lock catching if food debris builds up in the hinge, which a thorough rinse clears.
