Klein Tools 11053 wire stripper overview

The Klein Tools 11053 is a manual wire stripper designed for electricians and technicians who need reliable stripping and cutting of stranded cable. It handles standard capacities from 6 to 12 AWG with an adjustable mechanism. The 7 1/8 in steel frame includes a coil spring for fast self-opening action during repetitive tasks.

Suited for standard AWG work not heavy duty

This tool suits professionals and DIY users stripping 6 to 12 AWG stranded wire and shearing 6-32 or 8-32 screws on the job site. Buyers who need capacity outside this AWG range or require automatic stripping for high-volume production should look at other models. The tether-ready design requires a separate accessory for fall protection.

Check cable type and screw sizes before ordering

Verify that your cables are stranded and fall within the 6 to 12 AWG standard range before purchase. Confirm the 6-32 and 8-32 screw shearing function matches the fasteners you typically encounter. The bi-material cushion grip handles are insulated but this is not a substitute for proper lockout-tagout procedures.
