Compact 12-in-1 EDC multitool

The Klein Tools 2229 packs twelve functions into a 4.09-inch frame that weighs 3.5 ounces. Spring-loaded pliers, wire cutter, stripper, folding knife, serrated blade, bottle opener, metal file, screwdrivers, saw-like blade and scoring blade cover everyday carry, camping, hiking and emergency tasks.

Twelve functions with stainless-steel durability

The 420 stainless steel components handle cutting, stripping, filing and light sawing without bulk. Pliers and blades manage wire, cordage and small hardware; the file and scoring blade tackle softer materials. Heavy prying, thick metal cutting or sustained torque exceed the mini design limits.

Pocket-ready kit with nylon sheath

Aluminium handle plates in black, yellow and orange provide grip and visibility. The included nylon sheath secures the tool to a belt, while the compact profile fits a pocket, purse or backpack. No additional mounting hardware or power source is required for immediate use.

Questions about this item

Will the 4.09" total length fit alongside full-size pliers in my tool bag?

At 4.09 inches overall the Klein Tools 2229 is a compact companion that slips into a pocket or sheath without crowding larger hand tools.

How can I confirm the spring-loaded pliers and wire cutter are functioning correctly after first use?

Open and close the pliers several times; the spring should return the jaws smoothly, and the cutter should cleanly sever a test wire without binding.

Does the 2229 kit include a carrying sheath or must I purchase one separately?

A nylon belt sheath is supplied with the multitool so no separate purchase is required for belt or pack carry.
