A hammer-operated crimping kit handles 23 to 4/0 AWG ferrules with 25 pins and 10 mild-steel capacity
The Klein Tools Hand Rivet Nut Setter Kit provides a 25 pin assortment for installing rivet nuts in mild steel up to 10 gauge. It is built for electricians and maintenance technicians who need a portable, manual solution for threaded inserts on the job site.
The tool uses a square jaw that adjusts across a 23 to 4/0 AWG range and is actuated by striking with a hammer. No external power source is required, so the kit runs silently and draws zero current during normal use.
The kit includes 25 pins and handles mild steel rivet nuts up to 10 gauge maximum capacity. It is not suited for installers who need hydraulic force or high-volume automated crimping.

Place the chosen pin in the tool, insert the rivet nut, squeeze the handles fully, then release; the step people get wrong is not squeezing completely so the nut does not fully expand.
The pins and jaw surfaces wear with heavy use; inspect them regularly and replace any pin that shows deformation or rounding to keep crimps reliable.
The 10 mild-steel capacity rating is the first limit; sustained work at that thickness will cause handle effort to rise and pin wear to accelerate.
