The Klein Tools VDV526-100 LAN Explorer checks RJ11, RJ12 and RJ45 terminated voice and data cables for miswires, open faults, short faults and shield continuity. It supports CAT3, CAT5e and CAT6/6A cable types. A single button starts the test and LEDs show the cable status instantly. The unit measures 127 mm long, 63.5 mm wide and 32 mm high.

Stored remote and auto power-off extend usability

The test remote slots into the tester body so it stays with the tool between jobs. An auto power-off function shuts the tester down after inactivity to conserve the included 9V battery.
