KMC COL1409AL Aluminum Cable Clamps

This 25-pack of KMC COL1409AL clamps secures cables with a 7/8 inch bundle diameter using cushioned aluminum loops. Each clamp has a 0.2813 inch mounting hole and a 0.032 inch thick band that is 1/2 inch wide. The EPDM rubber cushion protects wires across a -65 F to +250 F temperature range.

Installers needing cushioned loops for 7/8 inch

These clamps suit automotive, marine or industrial wiring jobs that require vibration-damped attachment points and a black EPDM liner. The single-hole mount and fixed 7/8 inch diameter will not work for installers who need adjustable straps, larger bundle sizes or adhesive-back mounting.

Sustained temperature cycling

The aluminum band and EPDM cushion maintain grip from -65 F to +250 F without hardening or cracking during long thermal cycles. The 0.032 inch band thickness resists fatigue when mounted on vibrating equipment, while the rubber liner prevents chafing on wire insulation over extended service periods.

Questions about this item

What size mounting hardware fits the 0.2813 in hole on these KMC COL1409AL clamps?

The mounting hole diameter is 0.2813 in, so use fasteners sized for that clearance such as a 1/4 in bolt or screw.

Will the EPDM rubber cushion on these 7/8 in clamps stay flexible at -65 F?

Yes, the temperature range is rated from -65 F to +250 F, so the EPDM cushion remains flexible in extreme cold.

How can I confirm the band thickness is 0.032 in after installation?

Measure the clamp band with a caliper or micrometer; it should read 0.032 in thick.
