Kohler 45906-CP Shower Column

This Kohler 45906-CP shower column is a new bathroom fixture designed for residential bathing spaces. It suits homeowners updating a tub or shower area with a branded column unit. The product carries the Kohler name and is classified under bathtubs and whirlpools for general bath installation.

Practical limits of the column format

A fixed shower column mounts to the wall and supplies water through a set outlet height. It does not allow the flexible repositioning of a hand-held wand on a slide bar. The single-unit construction means the spray pattern and reach are determined by the column design itself.

Check your existing plumbing

Verify that your supply lines align with the column's inlet location and that the wall can support the fixture's mounting points. Confirm the rough-in dimensions match your current valve and pipe centres. Ensure the finish code CP matches the other hardware in the bathroom.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 45906-CP model for a standard bathtub installation?

The 45906-CP is a shower column designed for bathtubs and whirlpools, so verify your tub has the required mounting points and plumbing connections before purchasing.

How does the shower column perform once installed in a real bathroom?

As a Kohler shower column, it delivers water to the tub area; actual flow rate and spray quality depend entirely on your home's water pressure and supply lines.

What plumbing standard does the 45906-CP use and what does that limit?

It connects via standard North American plumbing fittings, which caps compatibility to 1/2-inch NPT supplies and typical residential pressure ranges.
