Extended capacity under continuous use

Rated at 7800 mAh and 11.1 V, the battery delivers longer run-time than standard 6-cell packs during sustained workloads. Integrated circuit protection guards against over-charge, over-discharge and short circuits throughout each cycle. Cells are rated for up to 600 recharge cycles over the service life.

Voltage compatibility decides fit

The pack operates at 11.1 V and is also compatible with 10.8 V systems, so the laptop must accept this voltage range. Buyers whose machines require a different voltage cannot use this unit.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 9-cell 7800 mAh 11.1 V battery generate during all-day use?

The lithium-ion pack runs at 11.1 V (10.8 V compatible) and is rated for up to 600 recharge cycles; normal operation produces only modest warmth thanks to built-in circuit protection.

What must I already own so the WU946 MT264 PP39L battery fits and works?

A Dell Studio 1535, 1536, 1537, 1555, 1557 or 1558 laptop that originally used a PP33L or PP39L battery; the replacement has the same size and shape as the OEM pack.

Will the 9-cell extended battery work alongside the original 6-cell charger and BIOS on my Studio 1535?

Yes — the 11.1 V (10.8 V compatible) pack is designed to the same electrical spec as the factory battery, so the existing AC adapter and system firmware recognise it without changes.
