Versatile Power Delivery

The Kondor Blue cable connects D-Tap power sources to USB-C devices, delivering up to 65W through Power Delivery protocols. It supports cameras from Canon, Sony, Lumix, Leica, Nikon and Fuji, plus Android phones, iPhone 15 series, MacBooks and iPads. The bi-directional design also allows charging V-Mount and Gold Mount batteries from a USB-C PD wall adapter. Smart D-Tap technology monitors the connection and cuts power if a fault is detected.

Capacity and Headroom

The cable outputs a maximum of 65W and negotiates the appropriate voltage between 5V and 12V for each connected device. This covers most mirrorless cameras, smartphones, tablets and ultraportable laptops during typical shooting sessions. It will not sustain larger cinema cameras or high-wattage laptops that exceed the 65W ceiling, so users with power-hungry rigs need a higher-capacity solution.

Practical Limits of USB-C PD

Power Delivery negotiates voltage in discrete steps, so the cable can only supply the fixed profiles the source and device agree on. The 6-inch length minimises voltage drop but restricts placement to tight rig configurations. The right-angle D-Tap connector eases routing yet may not clear every battery plate. The indicator light shows blue or green for normal operation and red when a fault triggers the protection cutoff.
