Kong USA Prothoc rope edge protection 700mm

The Kong USA Prothoc is a 700mm Cordura rope protector designed to shield ropes from abrasion at sharp edges. It serves workers who need reliable edge protection during access or rescue tasks. The product is supplied new and ships directly from the manufacturer.

Check rope diameter and edge profile before ordering

Verify that the protector length matches the contact zone on your rope system. Ensure the Cordura sleeve fits the rope diameter you use so it stays in position under load. Confirm the anchor edge geometry allows the protector to sit flat without rolling.

Cordura construction resists wear on rough surfaces

The 700mm length covers a practical span for most edge transitions. Cordura fabric withstands repeated friction against concrete, steel or rock. The sleeve format slides on quickly and stays put during use, reducing setup time on site.

Questions about this item

Does the 700 mm Prothoc rope edge protector come with any mounting hardware or must I buy fixings separately?

The 700 mm Prothoc protector is supplied as the Cordura sleeve only; any anchors, carabiners or tape needed to secure it to the rope are not included.

The supplier title shows 84601N400KK — does the 400 indicate a different length or a separate model I should choose instead?

The 400 in the code is a manufacturer reference; the protector itself measures 700 mm, so there is no alternative length to select from this listing.

Once the 700 mm protector is wrapped on a working line, what does the Cordura layer actually do for the rope?

The Cordura sleeve shields the rope from sharp edges and abrasion over a 700 mm span, reducing sheath wear during contact with rough surfaces.
