Short USB4 Thunderbolt 4 cable for high-speed setups

This 1 ft cable carries 40 Gbps data, 240 W PD 3.1 power and 8K 60 Hz video over a single USB-C connection. It includes an E-Marker chip for safe negotiation and works with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 hosts, docks, SSDs and the iPhone 16/17 series.

For users who need maximum throughput in a short run

Creators moving large video files, engineers bench-testing Thunderbolt peripherals and travellers docking a laptop to dual 4K monitors will benefit. Buyers who only charge a phone at 5 V or run a single 1080p display will not use the cable’s headroom.

40 Gbps certified USB4 Thunderbolt 4 performance

The cable meets the full USB4 40 Gbps spec and Thunderbolt 4 certification, so it supports every mandatory feature: 8K 60 Hz or dual 4K 60 Hz video, 240 W PD 3.1 charging and PCIe tunnelling. If your host or device tops out at a lower speed or wattage, the link simply negotiates down.

Questions about this item

Does the cable need a Thunderbolt 4 port on both ends to reach 40Gbps?

The cable supports 40Gbps data transfer when both host and device have Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 ports; speed falls back to the highest rate the connected ports allow.

Will the 240W charging work with my 100W GaN charger?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with 100W, 140W and 180W chargers; it will deliver up to the charger's maximum rating.

How can I confirm the cable is running at 40Gbps after I plug it in?

Check the OS link speed or Thunderbolt control panel — it should report a 40Gbps connection when both ends are Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3.
