Lightweight on-ear ear-clip design

The Koss 175548 KSC21 is a binaural on-ear headphone that uses an ear-clip mounting instead of a traditional headband. Weighing 0.13, it combines pivoting ear plates with foam cushions to deliver an open, hear-through sound signature. The construction targets listeners who want a barely-there feel for daily commuting, workouts or desk use.

Suits active listeners needing awareness

These suit users who must hear ambient traffic, conversation or announcements while audio plays. They are not for buyers who want passive noise isolation, deep bass impact or a sealed acoustic chamber. Anyone needing an in-line microphone, detachable cable or wireless operation should look at something else.

Ear-clip mounting with pivoting plates

The single specification that decides fit is the ear-clip design with pivoting plates, which hooks behind the ear rather than clamping over the head. If your ears reject clip pressure or you wear thick-frame glasses that interfere with the hook, this mounting will not work for you.
