What the KEB15i is

The Koss KEB15i is a wired in-ear headphone with a 16 ohm impedance and a 4 ft cord. It uses a mini-phone connector and includes an inline microphone with a push-to-talk button. Three sizes of cushion earpieces are supplied for fit adjustment. The unit weighs 0.05 and comes in red.

Fits daily commutes, not critical monitoring

Commuters and casual listeners who want a lightweight earset for calls and music on a phone will find the angled port and multiple tips convenient. Buyers who need a detachable cable, wireless freedom, or studio-grade neutrality should look at something else.

The 16 ohm impedance decides compatibility

At 16 ohms the KEB15i draws sufficient volume directly from smartphone and laptop outputs without an external amplifier. If your source expects a higher impedance load or you require balanced drive, this model will not match that requirement.

Questions about this item

What source device do I need to plug the 187254 into so it plays audio?

The 187254 uses a mini-phone connector, so any device with a matching mini-phone jack will drive the 16 ohm earbuds directly.

If I keep an older portable player that only has a mini-phone output, will the KEB15i work without an adapter?

Yes — the KEB15i terminates in a mini-phone plug, so it connects straight to the older player's mini-phone socket.

After connecting the 187254, how can I confirm the in-line microphone and push-to-talk button are functioning?

Make a call and press the button to answer; if the other party hears you clearly, the microphone and button are working as intended.
