Product identity
This three-foot USB 2.0 cable connects a standard Type A port to a Mini USB Type B port. The left-angled connector on the Mini end reduces strain in tight spaces behind cameras, camcorders, GPS units, MP3 players, smartphones or portable hard drives.
What the design changes
The angled plug lets the cable run parallel to the device instead of sticking straight out, which helps prevent accidental disconnection and protects the port from bending forces. Moulded strain relief and shielding are built in to maintain signal integrity for data transfer and charging.
Check before you buy
Verify that your host device has a USB 2.0 Type A port and that the peripheral uses a 5-pin Mini USB Type B socket, as newer devices often use Micro USB or USB-C instead. This cable carries USB 2.0 signals only and will not support faster protocols.

Questions about this item
Will the left-angled Mini-B connector or the moulded strain relief need replacing after frequent plugging?
The moulded construction and left-angled Mini-B end are built to reduce cable stress, so no scheduled replacement is required under normal use.
What limits throughput first when this 3 ft USB 2.0 Type A to Mini-B cable runs all day?
The USB 2.0 interface sets the maximum data rate, so sustained transfers are capped by that specification rather than the cable length.
Does the shielding keep the cable cool and quiet during continuous operation?
Shielding protects signal integrity; the cable carries only low-power USB 2.0 signals, so it generates no audible noise and negligible heat.
