Koss KE5W White Earbuds

The Koss KE5W is a wired stereo earbud headset finished in white. It uses a 4 ft cable and an open earbud design that sits in the ear without sealing the canal. The driver impedance is 32 Ohm with a frequency response spanning 70 Hz to 20 kHz.

Wired listeners seeking open fit

These suit listeners who prefer a wired connection and an open fit that lets ambient sound through. They are not for users who want active noise cancellation, a wireless Bluetooth link, an in-ear seal for isolation, a detachable cable or an inline microphone and remote.

32 Ohm impedance match

The 32 Ohm impedance allows the earbuds to reach adequate volume from most portable device headphone outputs without a dedicated amplifier. A higher impedance model would require more drive voltage for the same loudness, while a lower impedance version might draw more current from the source.

Questions about this item

What connector does the wired cable use?

The cable terminates in a standard stereo plug that fits common headphone sockets on phones, laptops and audio players.

How much cable length is there for routing?

The cord measures 4 ft, giving enough slack for pocket or desk use without excess tangle.

What is the correct way to insert the earbuds for stereo sound?

Place the left bud in the left ear and the right bud in the right ear; the open design lets ambient sound in, so a secure fit keeps channels separated.
