Lightweight Portable Stereophone

The Koss KTXPRO1 is a wired, supra-aural headphone built for on-the-go listening. An adjustable over-the-head band and open foam cushions keep the fit light and breathable during long sessions. In-line volume control puts level adjustments at your fingertips without reaching for the source device.

Suits commuters and office listeners

Buyers who want a compact, wired stereo headset with hear-through awareness will appreciate the open design and 4 ft cable. Users needing active noise cancellation, wireless freedom or a detachable cable should look at other models. The 60 ohm impedance works well with portable players and laptop outputs.

60 ohm impedance matches portable sources

The 60 ohm input impedance lets the headphones run efficiently from smartphone, tablet or laptop headphone jacks without a dedicated amplifier. A 15 Hz to 25 kHz frequency response covers the full audible range for music and speech. The mini-phone connector provides universal wired compatibility.

Questions about this item

What limits listening time during a long session with the open foam cushions?

The open foam cushions let outside sound in and your audio out, so privacy and isolation become the practical limit in noisy spaces.

How much heat or noise does the headphone produce after hours of use?

The passive wired design has no amplifier or moving parts, so it generates no measurable heat and no electrical noise of its own.

Which source device must I already own to use the mini-phone plug?

Any player, phone, laptop or audio interface with a stereo mini-phone jack will drive the 60 ohm load directly.
