Product identity

The Koss UR18 is a lightweight circumaural headphone designed for listeners who want full-size sound without bulk. It connects through a standard 3.5 mm plug and suits portable devices, laptops and desktop audio outputs.

Accessory impact

Leatherette ear cushions seal around the ears to enhance bass response while the 8 ft straight dual-entry cord gives ample reach for desktop or mobile use. The folding frame reduces the footprint for travel and storage without extra cases.

Installation reality

Plug the 3.5 mm connector into any compatible jack and adjust the headband to fit; no drivers or software are required. The fixed cable cannot be replaced if damaged and the open 3.5 mm connection may not suit devices that only offer USB-C or Lightning ports.

Questions about this item

When will the leatherette ear cushions need replacing?

The leatherette cushions form a seal around the ears to enhance bass frequencies; replace them when the seal degrades or the material shows wear.

What limits the frequency response during long listening sessions?

The drivers cover 25 Hz to 15 KHz; this range is the hard limit regardless of how long you listen.

How much power do the 32 ohm drivers draw when used all day?

At 32 ohms impedance and 92 dB SPL per milliwatt, they reach loud volumes with very little power from a portable device.
