USB Gaming Headset with 7.1 Surround

The KOTION EACH G2000 connects via USB to a PC or laptop and delivers virtual 7.1 surround sound for gaming and music. Its circumaural earcups with 50mm drivers cover a frequency response of 10Hz to 27KHz. Active noise cancellation helps isolate the user from background sounds. LED lighting on the earcups adds visual flair during play.

Check USB Port and Software Needs

Verify that your computer has a free USB port for the headset connector. The cord length ranges from 8.0 to 10.0 feet, so confirm the cable reaches your seating position comfortably. Virtual 7.1 surround typically requires driver software or OS audio settings; ensure your operating system supports this feature. The flexible microphone must be positioned correctly for clear voice capture.

Upgrade from Basic Stereo Headsets

This headset replaces simple stereo models that lack virtual surround processing and active noise cancellation. The jump is worth it when you want directional audio cues in games and a dedicated microphone with adjustable positioning. It is not for users who need wireless freedom, as the RF specification still requires the USB cable connection. Buyers wanting a detachable mic or inline controls beyond volume should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the G2000 headset include everything needed to start using it or are extra cables or adapters required?

The package contains one G2000 headset with an integrated USB connector and an 8.0 to 10.0 ft cable, so no separate cables or adapters are needed for PC or laptop use.

What does the 7.1 RGB label on the G2000 actually indicate about the audio and lighting?

The 7.1 marking means the headset presents a virtual 7.1 surround experience over its stereo 50 mm drivers, while RGB refers to the LED lighting on the earcups that adds visual flair during play.

How does the 10 Hz to 27 KHz frequency response of the G2000 translate to real game audio?

That range covers deep bass down to 10 Hz for explosions and high detail up to 27 KHz for subtle cues like footsteps, giving a wide soundstage through the circumaural earcups.
