Gaming headset with 7.1 RGB audio

The KOTION EACH G9000 is a stereo gaming headset equipped with a 7.1 RGB version that adds a USB connector for lighting. It uses a 3.5mm plug for microphone and headphone audio on PlayStation 4, Xbox One controllers, PC, laptop, Mac and Nintendo Switch. The over-ear design features soft memory earmuffs made from second-generation skin-friendly material to reduce heat and sweat during long sessions.

Suited for multi-platform gamers wanting surround

This headset fits players who move between console and computer and want a single 3.5mm solution with USB-powered RGB illumination. It is not for users who require a dedicated wireless connection, a separate sound card or active noise-cancelling circuitry beyond the passive over-ear seal. Buyers needing a detachable broadcast-quality microphone or swappable cable system should look elsewhere.

Check your device has a 3.5mm combo jack or splitter

Verify that your controller, laptop or motherboard provides a single 3.5mm headset port or separate mic and headphone sockets; otherwise an adapter will be needed. Ensure a free USB-A port is available for the RGB lighting circuit. Confirm your operating system is among the listed 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or XP versions for driverless plug-and-play operation.

Questions about this item

Does the headset need a USB port on my PC or console for the 7.1 RGB lighting and audio?

Yes, the USB connector powers the 7.1 RGB lighting; the 3.5 mm plugs carry stereo audio and microphone signals.

Will the 3.5 mm plugs work with an older controller that only has a single 3.5 mm headset jack?

The headset provides separate 3.5 mm plugs for microphone and headphones, so a single combined jack requires a splitter adapter.

How can I confirm the 7.1 RGB lighting is active after plugging in the USB connector?

The RGB illumination on the ear cups turns on when the USB plug receives power, showing the lighting is working.
