The Kramer TP-580Rxr is an extended-reach HDBaseT receiver built for professional AV installations that need 4K video distribution over twisted-pair copper cabling. It receives HDMI, RS-232 and IR signals from any HDBaseT-compliant transmitter up to 100m (330ft) at 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) 24bpp, with longer reach at lower resolutions. Verify transmitter compatibility

Before ordering, confirm the source side uses an HDBaseT-compliant transmitter that matches the required signal set: HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, RS-232 and IR. The link runs over CAT copper cable; ensure the installed cabling meets the distance and quality needed for 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) at up to 100m, or plan for reduced resolution at longer runs. Check that the display accepts 4096 x 2160 input and that the control system can address the receiver via RS-232.

Fits standard AV racks and frees HDMI cable runs

The unit installs in equipment racks or surface-mount locations near the display, requiring only a single CAT cable from the transmitter plus local power. It delivers one HDMI output, passes EDID and CEC through for plug-and-play handshake, and extends multi-channel audio up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital stereo. By replacing long HDMI runs with twisted pair, it reduces cable bulk, eliminates HDMI distance limits and centralises source equipment in a secure rack.
