Portable Cassette Player with AM/FM Radio

The KT-3B is a playback-only cassette player that also receives AM and FM broadcasts. It runs on mains power using the supplied cord or on four C-cell batteries for portable use. A built-in 6 W speaker provides room-filling sound, while a 3.5 mm earphone jack allows private listening. The unit weighs 0.85 kg and measures 8.9 x 3 x 4.9 in.

Listeners wanting tape playback and radio in one box

This model suits anyone who wants to play existing cassettes, record via the built-in microphone, and tune into AM 530-1710 kHz or FM 88-108 MHz stations. It is not for buyers who need Bluetooth streaming, USB playback, or auto-reverse transport. The single-speed mechanism and lack of digital file support limit it to traditional tape and broadcast use.

6 W mono speaker decides output loudness

The 6 watt, 8 ohm driver determines how loud the player gets without headphones. At this power level it fills a small room but will not compete with larger boomboxes or powered speakers. If you need higher volume for outdoor gatherings, this unit will fall short.

Yes, the unit has a built-in 3.5 mm headphone jack so you can plug in standard headphones for private listening.

How can I verify the AM/FM radio is receiving stations correctly after I set it up?

Extend the telescopic antenna, switch between AM (530-1710 kHz) and FM (88-108 MHz) bands, and tune across the dial; clear audio from local stations confirms proper reception.
