4-channel PoE NVR for IP surveillance

The KT&C OMNI-IP KNR-p4Px4 is a 4-channel network video recorder designed for small-scale IP camera installations. It provides four built-in PoE ports that deliver up to 15W each from a 50W total budget. The unit supports H.264 compression and accepts cameras up to 5MP resolution. No internal storage is installed.

Replaces standalone PoE switches and basic NVRs

This recorder consolidates power and recording for up to four cameras without separate injectors or a managed switch. The 20Mb/s aggregate bandwidth limit and 50W PoE budget define when the jump is worthwhile; installations needing higher throughput or more than four powered ports will exceed the built-in capacity.

Suits installers needing simple 4-camera PoE

It fits projects where four Onvif-compatible cameras connect directly to the NVR for local HDMI or VGA monitoring at up to 1920x1080. Buyers who require more than four channels, greater than 20Mb/s total bandwidth, or pre-installed hard drives should look at larger recorders or separate storage solutions.

Questions about this item

What PoE power budget does the built-in switch provide for the four IP cameras?

The four PoE ports share a total budget of 50W and can deliver up to 15W per port under the 802.3af standard.

How do I connect the first camera so the NVR recognises it automatically?

Plug the camera directly into one of the four built-in PoE ports; the recorder assigns an IP address and begins streaming without any manual network configuration.

What storage do I need to add before the unit can record any footage?

No storage is installed at the factory, so you must fit at least one compatible hard drive inside the chassis before recording can start.
