Fixture Suspension Chain

The L.H. Dottie CH1414 Jack Chain is a steel chain designed for suspending fixtures in residential or commercial settings. It arrives new in a 100-foot length with a bright galvanized finish for corrosion resistance. This product suits electricians, contractors and DIYers who need a reliable hanging solution.

#14 Gauge Work Load

The single specification that determines suitability is the 16-pound work load limit paired with a 65-pound break load. The #14-gauge link wire size defines the chain's physical capacity. Buyers who need to support heavier fixtures must select a different chain with a higher rated work load.

Steel Construction Durability

The bright galvanized steel construction provides durability for normal indoor or covered outdoor use. The finish resists rust without requiring additional coatings or maintenance. No power draw, noise or thermal output is generated because this is a passive mechanical component.

Questions about this item

How much weight can the 16-pound work load actually support when the chain is installed?

The 16-pound work load is the maximum continuous weight the #14-gauge steel chain should carry when suspending fixtures.

What does the #14-gauge link wire size tell me about compatibility with standard hooks or connectors?

#14-gauge indicates the wire diameter of each link; match hooks or S-hooks rated for that gauge so the link seats properly without binding.

What length and finish does the 100-foot roll have for mounting overhead fixtures?

The roll provides 100 feet of bright galvanized steel chain, ready to cut to length for overhead fixture suspension.
