Steel-Toe Rubber Boot for Size 12

This LaCrosse 228050 boot is a knee-high rubber design built with a steel toe and metatarsal guard. It fits a men’s size 12 in standard D width and stands 16 inches tall. The Vibram 132 Montagna sole provides traction on varied surfaces. The construction is fully waterproof and uninsulated for cooler wear.

Suited for Wet Job Sites, Not Cold Storage

Workers needing toe protection and metatarsal coverage in muddy, wet conditions will find the waterproof rubber and steel hardware appropriate. The lack of insulation makes it a poor choice for extended exposure to freezing temperatures. Buyers who need a lighter safety shoe or a lower cuff height should consider a different style.

Pairs with Workwear for Industrial Tasks

The 16-inch shaft tucks under heavy trousers or bib overalls to seal out water and debris. A steel toe and metatarsal guard free the wearer from worrying about falling objects or rolling equipment. The unlined rubber shell allows quick cleaning with a hose at the end of a shift.

Questions about this item

Do I need to supply my own socks or liners to wear with the size 12 steel rubber boot?

Yes, the boot is sold as a single pair without any included socks or liners, so you will need to provide your own.

Can I continue using my existing orthotic insoles with the D width footbed of this 16 in knee boot?

The D width footbed is a standard medium width; most aftermarket orthotic insoles designed for that width will fit, but you should verify the insole volume against the boot interior.

How can I confirm the Vibram 132 Montagna sole is providing the expected grip after I start wearing the boots?

Walk on wet and uneven surfaces; the lug pattern should bite without slipping, and the steel toe and metatarsal guard should remain firmly in place with no audible movement.
