Purpose and audience

The LANDTEK FM207 is a digital force gauge built for push and pull testing in electronics, building hardware and similar industries. It suits technicians and quality teams who need a handheld instrument with selectable units and onboard data capture.

Deciding specification

The gauge stores up to 99 groups of measurements in its internal memory and can transfer data to a PC through USB or RS-232 interfaces. Bluetooth output is also available as an option.

Thermals noise and power

The meter runs on alkaline batteries or a 6 V DC supply and shuts off automatically after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve energy. No fan or active cooling is present so operation is silent.

Questions about this item

What does the 99 data memory capacity mean for daily testing?

It lets you store up to 99 individual force readings on the gauge itself so you can review or export them later without writing each one down.

How do the USB and RS-232 outputs limit data transfer in practice?

Both ports send recorded measurements to a PC for logging or analysis; transfer speed follows the standard serial or USB link you use.

What mounting or fixture requirements does the FM207 have?

The handheld gauge includes a standard sensor thread for attaching test fixtures or grips; no special bench mount is needed.
