Single-port device server

The Lantronix UD1100001-01 connects one piece of serial equipment to an Ethernet network through a DB-25 port and an RJ-45 jack. It suits engineers who need to add remote management to legacy instruments without replacing them.

Fast Ethernet thermals

The unit draws little power and runs silently because it has no moving parts. Its small 23 mm height and 200 g weight let it sit unobtrusively on a DIN rail or wall bracket.

Sustained load behaviour

Continuous data streams are handled by the on-board Fast Ethernet controller without overheating. The metal enclosure dissipates heat passively so the server stays reliable during long unattended sessions.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the UD1100001-01 on a wall and connect the DB-25 serial cable?

Mount the unit using its wall-mountable form factor, then plug the DB-25 cable into the parallel port and the RJ-45 cable into the network port; the step often missed is securing the DB-25 screws before tightening the RJ-45 latch.

What ongoing maintenance does the UD1100001-01 require?

No scheduled maintenance is needed; keep ventilation clear around the 0.91" high enclosure and verify the RJ-45 link LED periodically.

What throughput limit appears first during sustained Fast Ethernet traffic?

The single 10/100 RJ-45 port caps sustained throughput at Fast Ethernet line rate.
