A 6.5-inch mid-bass speaker rated at 500 watts RMS with a 3-ohm impedance and 94 dB sensitivity
The Lanzar OPTI6MI is a 6.5-inch mid bass car speaker built for high-output audio systems. It uses a paper cone with foam surround, a 1.5-inch high temperature CCAR voice coil on a TIL bobbin and a 30 oz magnet in a die cast aluminium frame. Peak and RMS power are both rated at 500 watts with a 3 ohm impedance.
This speaker suits installers who need a dedicated mid bass driver covering 105 Hz to 12 kHz at 94 dB sensitivity. It is not for buyers who want a single driver to reproduce deep sub bass or extended treble, nor for systems that require 4 ohm or 8 ohm impedance matching.
The unit mounts in a 6.5-inch opening with an overall diameter of 6.97 inches and a mounting depth of 3.03 inches, requiring a Vas of 9.46 litres. It ships with custom moulded grilles and hardware, freeing the installer from sourcing separate mounting accessories.

Choose an amplifier stable at 3 Ohms or lower; the speaker presents a 3 Ohm nominal impedance and draws up to 500 Watts RMS.
The mid-bass rolls off at 105 Hz, so set your subwoofer low-pass near that point for a smooth handover.
Measure 94 dB output at one watt, one metre; the speaker should reproduce cleanly from 105 Hz to 12 kHz without distortion at rated power.
