Compatible Ricoh Printers

This black toner refill kit works with Ricoh SP C242DN, C232DN, C231N and C320DN printers. It is designed for users who want to refill their existing 406475 cartridges rather than buy new ones. The kit suits home offices and small businesses looking to lower per-page costs.

Refill Process and Yield

The refill uses a reset chip and standard 5% coverage metrics to track toner levels. Refilling is a manual operation that does not change the printer’s power draw, noise output or thermal profile. Each cartridge can be refilled up to three times before mechanical wear may require replacement.

Included Chip and Instructions

A reset chip is bundled so the printer recognises the refilled cartridge as full. Step-by-step instructions guide the user through the refill procedure, reducing the risk of spills or errors. No additional software, tools or cleaning supplies are provided in the package.

Questions about this item

How do I install the reset chip included with the 406475 refill kit on my Ricoh SP C242DN cartridge?

Open the cartridge hopper, pour the black toner evenly, then snap the supplied reset chip onto the designated slot on the cartridge side before reinserting it into the SP C242DN, C232DN, C231N or C320DN printer.

How many times can I refill the original 406475 cartridge before it needs replacement?

The kit is designed so the same 406475 cartridge can be reused up to three times, after which mechanical wear on the drum or developer roller typically requires a new cartridge.

At what page coverage does the 406475 black toner yield its rated capacity?

The refill toner is rated at 5 % coverage, so sustained printing of dense graphics or solid blocks will exhaust the supply faster than the rated yield.
