Compatible Drum Unit for Brother HL and MFC Printers

This Laser Tek Services DR520 drum unit replaces OEM# DR520 and fits Brother HL5200, HL5240, HL5250, MFC8460 and MFC8470 series printers. The four-pack supplies black drums for high-volume environments. Each unit is new and built to match OEM page-yield specifications.

Straightforward Replacement with Multi-Unit Planning

Installation follows the standard Brother drum slot procedure; no tools or firmware steps are required. The main risk is forgetting to reset the drum counter after fitting the new unit, which can leave the printer reporting a near-end-of-life warning. Keeping the spare drums in the sealed pack until needed prevents light exposure that degrades the photosensitive surface.

Rated Yield of 25000 Pages per Drum

The decisive specification is the 25000-page yield per drum unit at standard coverage. Buyers who need a higher rated yield or a colour drum should look elsewhere, as this pack provides black drums only at the stated yield.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the drum unit is functioning correctly after installing it in my Brother HL-5250?

The printer should produce crisp black output from the first page and maintain consistent quality through the rated 25000 pages without streaks or fading.

What items are included in the four-pack and is any additional hardware required?

The package contains four black drum units that replace OEM DR520; toner cartridges are sold separately and must be purchased for printing.

Which pack size should I choose for a Brother MFC-8460 that prints heavily?

The four-pack providing 25000 pages per unit suits high-volume use and reduces the frequency of reordering drum replacements.
