Yellow toner refill for HP 124A series

This refill kit supplies yellow toner and a replacement chip for HP Color LaserJet 1600 2600 2605 models using the 124A cartridge family. It is intended for owners who want to refill their existing cartridge instead of buying a brand-new unit.

Replaces a full cartridge purchase

The kit lets you recycle the original cartridge up to three times, cutting the cost per page by roughly 50 percent compared with a new OEM cartridge. The jump is worth it when the printer reports low toner but the mechanical parts of the cartridge are still in good condition.

Refill process and common pitfalls

Refilling requires opening the cartridge hopper, pouring the supplied toner, and swapping the chip so the printer recognises the reset level. The most frequent issues are toner spills during the pour and a chip that does not seat cleanly, which can leave the printer showing an empty status.

Questions about this item

Does the 124A yellow refill include the chip needed for my HP Color LaserJet 2600?

Yes, the Laser Tek Services yellow toner refill comes with a chip so the printer recognises the cartridge in models such as the 1600, 2600, 2605 and CM1015 MFP.

What is the correct way to install the refill toner into the original HP 124A cartridge?

Open the cartridge fill plug, pour the yellow toner evenly, reseal the plug, then reinstall the cartridge; the step often missed is forgetting to reset or replace the chip before closing the printer.

How many times can I reuse the original HP Q6002A cartridge with this refill kit?

The supplier states the cartridge can be recycled and refilled up to three times while maintaining print quality.
