Yellow toner refill for Ricoh printers

This refill kit supplies yellow toner powder and a reset chip designed for the Ricoh 406478 cartridge used in the SP C242DN, C232DN, C231N and C320DN models. It is intended for home or office users who want to replenish an existing Type SPC310HA cartridge instead of buying a new unit. The package includes step-by-step instructions for a straightforward refill process.

Compatibility with Ricoh 406478 cartridge

The single specification that determines fit is compatibility with the Ricoh 406478 toner cartridge, also referenced as Type SPC310HA. The kit works only with printers that accept this cartridge, specifically the SP C242DN, SP C232DN, SP C231N and SP C320DN. Buyers using any other Ricoh model or a different cartridge code cannot use this refill.

Print yield and operating characteristics

Yield is rated at five percent coverage per refill, and the cartridge can be reused up to three times. Normal use produces consistent, sharp yellow output without additional power or cooling requirements. The refill process itself is manual and does not change the printer's noise level or energy consumption.

Questions about this item

How many pages can I expect from this yellow refill at 5% coverage?

The refill is rated for the same yield as the original 406478 cartridge at 5% coverage, giving you a full standard-capacity print run per refill.

Does the included reset chip work with all listed Ricoh models?

Yes, the chip is programmed for the SP C242DN, C232DN, C231N and C320DN so the printer recognises the cartridge as full after each refill.

Which empty cartridge do I refill with this kit?

You refill the Ricoh Type SPC310HA yellow cartridge (part 406478) that originally came with the SP C242DN, C232DN, C231N or C320DN.
