Adjustable height pedestal fan

The Lasko 1843 is an 18" pedestal fan with adjustable height and a tilt-back head. It offers three quiet, energy-efficient speeds and widespread oscillation for broad air circulation. A 4-hour timer and remote control add convenience for bedroom or living-room use. Assembly requires no tools and the unit carries an E.T.L. listing.

Blue Plug safety fuse

The patented Blue Plug safety fuse technology interrupts power if a fault is detected, adding a layer of protection not found on standard fans. The remote lets you change speed, oscillation and timer settings from across the room without walking to the unit. Simple no-tools assembly means the fan is ready to run in minutes.

18-inch airflow coverage

The 18" blade diameter moves enough air for medium-sized rooms such as bedrooms, home offices or small living areas. Widespread oscillation spreads the breeze across a wide angle rather than a narrow stream. It is not suited for large open-plan spaces or workshops that demand higher CFM ratings. The 4-hour timer limits continuous overnight runs unless reset manually.

Questions about this item

Will the Blue Plug safety fuse on the Lasko 1843 need replacement after a power surge?

The Blue Plug contains a patented safety fuse designed to protect the fan during electrical faults; if it trips the fuse must be replaced before the fan will operate again.

What limits continuous operation on the highest of the three speed settings?

The motor runs at three quiet, energy-efficient speeds and the built-in timer stops the fan after four hours, which is the first limit reached during sustained use.

How much noise and heat does the 1843 produce when running all day on the lowest speed?

On the lowest of its three quiet speeds the fan generates minimal sound and negligible heat, and the tilt-back head directs airflow without adding mechanical noise.
