Compact 10-inch desk fan

The Lasko 507 is a compact 10-inch desk fan built for personal cooling in smaller spaces. It offers two quiet speed settings and arrives fully assembled for immediate use. The fan head pivots a full 360 degrees and locks in place for precise airflow direction. A built-in carry handle allows easy portability between desk and floor positions.

Fused safety plug and energy efficiency

The unit includes a patented fused safety plug that enhances electrical protection during operation. Save-Smart technology limits power draw to 30 Watts, making it an energy-efficient choice for continuous use. ETL and UL listings confirm compliance with recognised safety standards. No additional accessories or software are bundled with the fan.

Fixed two-speed operation

Airflow control is limited to the two preset speed settings with no variable or remote adjustment. The 10-inch blade diameter constrains the volume of air moved, suiting personal proximity rather than whole-room circulation. Plastic construction keeps weight to 2.95 pounds but may limit long-term durability under heavy daily use. The fan requires a standard mains outlet and offers no battery or USB power option.

Questions about this item

Does the motor on the Lasko 507 need oiling or any other routine maintenance?

The motor is permanently lubricated and requires no oiling; just wipe the grille and blades with a damp cloth when dust builds up.

What limits continuous running on the 30 W motor — does it overheat or trip a safety device?

The fused safety plug cuts power if the motor draws too much current, protecting it during extended use.

How loud is the fan on the higher speed after several hours, and does the housing get hot?

The two speeds are rated as quiet; the plastic housing stays cool to the touch and the carry handle remains comfortable during all-day operation.
