15.6" ThinkPad L520 Replacement Screen

This LCDBros panel is a direct replacement for a Lenovo ThinkPad L520 with a 15.6 inch display. It delivers a 1366x768 HD resolution on a glossy LED surface. The kit includes tools to assist with the installation process.

Upgrades a damaged or dim original panel

Swap this screen when the existing panel is cracked, shows dead pixels or suffers from backlight failure. The jump is worth it only if your current screen matches the exact 1366x768 resolution and glossy finish. A different resolution or matte coating will not function in the laptop.

Verify resolution, backlight and connector first

You must confirm the original screen is 1366x768 with a glossy LED backlight before ordering. The manufacturer supplies a 100% compatible panel, but the exact brand and part number vary with market availability. If you are unsure of the specifications, contact the seller for assistance.

Questions about this item

Will this 15.6" glossy panel fit the lid assembly of my ThinkPad L520 without modification?

The screen is built as a direct 15.6 inch replacement for the L520 chassis, so it aligns with the original mounting points and bezel clips.

What is the correct installation sequence for the included tools, and which step do people usually skip?

Remove the bezel, disconnect the video cable, swap the panel, reconnect the cable, then test before snapping the bezel back — many forget the pre-assembly test.

How often will the LED backlight or the 1366x768 panel need replacement under normal use?

The LED backlight is rated for tens of thousands of hours; the panel itself only needs replacement if physical damage or pixel defects appear later.
