High-Yield 5-Pack for Epson XP Printers

This five-pack contains two high-yield black cartridges plus one each of cyan, magenta and yellow, all filled with dye-based ink. It replaces the standard T277 series and fits Expression XP-850, XP-860, XP-950, XP-960 and XP-970 printers purchased in the United States or Canada. The set suits home offices that print mixed documents and photos regularly.

Ink Stability and Shelf Life

Dye-based ink performs best when cartridges are stored in a cool, dry place and used within eighteen months of purchase. No thermal, acoustic or power specifications apply to ink consumables. Normal printing operation is governed entirely by the printer hardware itself.

Regional Compatibility and Warranty Note

Cartridges only work with printers purchased within the United States and Canada, so buyers outside those regions cannot use them. Using these remanufactured replacements does not void the original printer warranty. The pack includes no additional software, tools or cleaning accessories.

Questions about this item

How do I install the T277XL120 black cartridge and what step is often missed?

Remove the protective clip and orange pull-tab completely before inserting the cartridge into the XP-850 or XP-960 slot until it clicks; skipping the pull-tab leaves the vent sealed and prevents ink flow.

What maintenance will these dye-based cartridges need after 18 months?

The supplier recommends using the cartridges within 18 months of purchase and storing them in a cool, dry place; after that period print quality may decline and replacement is advised.

Which limit appears first during continuous high-coverage printing on an XP-970?

The black T277XL120 cartridge reaches its 500-page yield at 5 % coverage before the colour cartridges reach their 740-page yield, so black runs out first under sustained heavy use.
