What this cartridge does

This LD Products remanufactured black toner cartridge replaces the HP 647A (CE260A) and is rated for 8500 pages at 5% coverage under the ISO/IEC standard. It fits HP Color LaserJet models including the CP4025, CP4525, CM4540 and CM4570 series. It is a new aftermarket unit, not an original HP product.

Print quality and reliability

The cartridge is put through a rigorous testing process monitored for quality and reliability before it leaves the factory. In normal office use it delivers consistent black output without the thermal or acoustic concerns that apply to hardware with active cooling. Power draw is governed entirely by the printer itself.

Single-pack convenience

The package contains one black cartridge only, so colour printing requires separate purchases of cyan, magenta and yellow units. There is no bundled software, chip reset tool or installation kit; the cartridge is designed to be installed directly into the compatible printers listed. Buyers who need a full colour set or a multi-pack will have to source the other cartridges separately.

Questions about this item

How do I install the CE260A cartridge in my HP CP4525dn, and which step do people skip?

Open the front cover, pull the old cartridge straight out, remove the orange protective clip and tape from the new CE260A, rock it gently five times to distribute toner, then slide it in until it clicks — the step most skip is removing the sealing tape completely.

What part of this remanufactured cartridge will need replacement first after the toner runs out?

The drum and developer roller are refreshed during remanufacturing, so the next replacement is simply another full cartridge when the 8,500-page yield at 5 % coverage is reached.

At what page count does print density start to fade during a long print run?

The cartridge is rated for 8,500 pages at 5 % coverage under ISO/IEC test conditions; fading typically appears only as you approach that limit.
