Two-cable USB-C set for data, video and power

This pack supplies two three-foot USB-C to USB-C cables built to the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 specification. Each cable handles 20 Gbps data transfer, 4K video at 60 Hz and up to 100 W Power Delivery charging. They suit anyone connecting NVMe enclosures, portable monitors or laptops that need high bandwidth and fast charging in one lead.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The cables are passive copper assemblies with an integrated E-Marker chip, so they generate no audible noise and add negligible heat during operation. Power delivery tops out at 20 V and 5 A for a 100 W maximum, with full backward compatibility to 96 W, 87 W, 65 W and 61 W chargers. No active cooling or external power is required.

USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 with 20 Gbps, 4K60 and 100 W PD

The single specification that decides fit is the USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 rating, which guarantees 20 Gbps throughput, DisplayPort Alt Mode video at 4K 60 Hz and 100 W Power Delivery. If your host port or peripheral only supports slower USB standards, the cable will still work but will not reach those peak figures.

Questions about this item

How do I plug this cable in so the 20Gbps data rate actually works?

Connect the straight USB-C ends to two USB-C ports that both support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 or USB4; if either port is only USB 3.1 or 2.0 the link drops to that lower speed.

What part of this cable wears out first and needs replacing?

The USB-C connectors are rated for thousands of insertions; the cable jacket and internal wiring are passive, so only physical damage to the plugs or a bent cable would require a new one.

At what point does the 100W charging limit appear during a long charge session?

The cable carries up to 20 V at 5 A (100 W) continuously; the real ceiling is the charger or device negotiating a lower PD profile such as 96 W, 87 W, 65 W or 61 W.
