Lead-free 1.2 mm solder wire with 2.5 % rosin flux core, Sn99 Ag0.3 Cu0.7 alloy on a 50 g spool
This 1.2mm lead-free solder wire uses a Sn99 Ag0.3 Cu0.7 alloy that meets RoHS requirements. It is supplied on a 50g spool and targets electronics assembly, repair work and hobbyist projects. The built-in rosin flux core removes the need for separate flux application during soldering tasks.
The rosin flux core measures 2.5% and promotes consistent wetting across repeated joints without extra flux. Lead-free composition means flowability is slightly lower than lead-based alternatives, so joints may need a little more dwell time under the iron. Uniform melting point control on each spool helps maintain repeatable results during longer sessions.
The Sn99 Ag0.3 Cu0.7 alloy complies with lead-free standards but does not match the fluidity of traditional tin-lead solders. Rosin core content is fixed at 2.5%, limiting suitability for heavily oxidised surfaces that demand aggressive flux. Diameter is set at 1.2mm, which restricts use on very fine-pitch components needing thinner wire.

The wire is lead-free and RoHS compliant with a 2.5 % rosin flux core, so it produces typical rosin fumes; use normal workshop ventilation.
The alloy melts at a uniform point suited to standard lead-free temperatures; set your iron to the usual lead-free range for 1.2 mm wire.
Yes, the same flux-core chemistry covers the full 0.3 mm to 3.0 mm range, so you can switch diameters without changing technique.
