Solar Panel Tester 1800W MPPT

This Lectron tester measures photovoltaic output at the maximum power point up to 1800W. It displays open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current and real-time power on an LCD screen. Technicians and installers use it to verify panel performance during commissioning or maintenance. The unit draws operating power directly from the panel under test.

Measurement Limits 120V 60A

The instrument accepts open-circuit voltage from 20 to 120V and short-circuit current up to 60A. Panels exceeding either limit cannot be tested safely with this meter. Systems configured for higher voltage strings or larger current arrays require a different class of analyser. The 1800W power ceiling also caps the maximum panel size it can evaluate.

Field Connection MC4 Alligator Clips

Supplied MC-4 connectors and alligator clips attach to panel leads without tools. The corded electric design needs no batteries so the tester is ready once connections are made. Reversed polarity or loose clips are the common setup errors that produce erratic readings. The EVA toolkit keeps the leads organised for repeated site visits.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 1800W, 1600W, 800W or 400W version of this tester?

Match the tester's max power rating to your panel array: 1800W for large systems, 1600W for mid-size, 800W for smaller arrays, 400W for portable setups. All share 60A current limit except the 400W at 20A.

What does the 1800W headline figure mean when I connect it to my panels?

It is the maximum power the meter can measure at the panel's max power point. The unit also reads open-circuit voltage up to 120V and short-circuit current up to 60A.

What connectors does the tester use and what voltage range do they support?

It ships with MC-4 connectors and alligator clips for direct panel connection. The voltage measurement range spans 20V to 120V open-circuit.
