77mm Variable ND for Mirrorless and DSLR

The LEE Elements 77mm Variable ND Filter provides adjustable light reduction from six to nine stops for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. It lets photographers and videographers control exposure in bright conditions without swapping fixed filters. The screw-in design fits 77mm filter threads directly.

Six to nine stop adjustable density range

The filter covers a precise six to nine stop range, letting you dial the exact density required for the scene. Fluid-smooth adjustment rings with positive end stops and clear markers prevent cross-polarisation at the extremes. Multi-layer optical coatings maintain colour fidelity across the range.

Handles strong daylight and long exposures

The range comfortably handles strong daylight and wide apertures for shallow depth of field in video. It also supports long exposure photography without stacking multiple filters. Ultra-wide-angle lenses are supported without vignetting from the filter frame.

Questions about this item

What does the 6-9 stop range actually give me when shooting?

You can cut the light entering the lens by six to nine stops, letting you keep wider apertures or slower shutter speeds in bright daylight without shifting colour.

How does the screw-in mount work with my lens?

The filter threads directly onto a 77 mm front thread, so it fits any lens with that diameter.

What physical clearance does the filter need on the lens?

It mounts on a 77 mm thread; the rotating outer ring adds a few millimetres of depth, so check that your lens hood or matte box still clears it.
