1-1/4" T-438 IPS Bronze Union Elbow

This bronze union elbow connects 1-1/4 inch IPS piping in heating and plumbing systems. It is intended for installers and maintenance crews who need a reliable joint on radiators, boilers or hydronic loops. Union joint under pressure and temperature cycles

The bronze body resists corrosion from treated water and glycol mixes common in closed-loop heating. The union nut maintains a seal as the system expands and contracts through heating seasons. Because the fitting can be unthreaded, sections of pipe or radiators can be removed for service without draining the entire loop. No performance figures beyond the standard IPS rating are supplied.

Replaces a soldered or threaded fixed elbow

Use this union elbow when future access to the joint is likely, such as at radiator connections or boiler headers. It eliminates the need to cut pipe or re-solder during component replacement. The jump is worth it on any hydronic circuit where downtime and rework cost more than the fitting premium. Not suited for installations where a permanent, non-separable joint is specified or where union clearance is unavailable.
