Legend Valve Press Reducing Tee

This Legend Valve press reducing tee connects three pipe sections in a single fitting with a 3 inch by 3 inch by 1/2 inch configuration. It is designed for plumbing professionals and installers who need a reliable branch connection in press-fit piping systems. The fitting suits new installations and system modifications where a reduced outlet is required.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

As a passive plumbing component the fitting generates no heat and produces no audible noise during operation. It requires no electrical power and adds no thermal load to the system. Pressure drop across the fitting follows standard hydraulic principles for the given pipe sizes.

California Proposition 65 Compliance

The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning indicating it contains a chemical known to the state to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Installers and end users should review the warning and follow applicable safety practices. This notice is the primary regulatory consideration when selecting this fitting for a project.

Questions about this item

How is the 3" press reducing tee installed, and what step is commonly missed?

Use a calibrated press tool on each 3" end and the 1/2" branch; the step often missed is fully seating the tube before pressing.

What maintenance or replacement will the Legend Valve 450-319P need later?

Inspect the press joints and EPDM seals periodically; replace the tee if corrosion or seal degradation appears.

What limit appears first on the 3" x 3" x 1/2" tee under sustained pressure?

The pressure rating of the press connections typically governs the maximum sustained service pressure.
