1/72 Scale P-51D Mustang Diecast Model

This 1/72 scale diecast replica depicts a North American P-51D Mustang in People's Liberation Army Air Force markings. The model is cast from metal with plastic components and measures approximately 5.25 inches long with a 6.25-inch wingspan. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging and includes a display stand. The exterior features realistic panel lines, antennas, and access panels for an authentic appearance.

Collectors and Military History Enthusiasts

This model suits adult collectors who value accurate scale replicas and detailed exterior finishes. It is a solid choice for display cabinets or desk arrangements focused on World War II aviation history. Buyers who want functional features such as opening canopies, retractable landing gear, or removable panels should look elsewhere, as this model has no openings. It is also not intended for children or rough play due to its delicate construction and collectible nature.

Display-Ready Desktop Collectible

The model requires no assembly and sits securely on its included stand, making it an immediate addition to a shelf or desk. Its diecast metal construction provides a heavy, realistic feel without needing additional mounting hardware or adhesive. Because the model has no moving parts or openings, it frees the owner from worrying about loose pieces or alignment issues. The compact footprint allows it to fit alongside other 1/72 scale aircraft in a unified collection.

Questions about this item

Does the 1/72 scale P-51D Mustang require any tools or glue to attach the display stand?

The model arrives fully assembled in its original unopened packaging; the included display stand simply slots into place without tools or adhesive.

Will the 5.25-inch length and 6.25-inch wingspan fit inside a standard 1/72 display case without crowding other models?

At those dimensions the diecast Mustang occupies roughly the same footprint as other 1/72 fighters, so it sits comfortably alongside them in a typical case.

How can I verify the panel lines and surface details match the real PLAAF Mustang after unboxing?

Compare the raised panel lines, antenna, and access panels on the diecast fuselage to reference photos of the captured aircraft; the model replicates those features exactly.
