Scale and Subject

This 1/72 scale diecast model depicts the Sherman Firefly Mk.VC medium tank as fielded by A Squadron, 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards of the 8th Armoured Brigade in Normandy during 1944. It is a limited-edition collectible made from diecast metal with plastic parts, finished in authentic British Army markings. The model arrives in its original unopened packaging.

Upgrade from basic kits

Unlike simple plastic kits that require assembly and painting, this piece is pre-painted, fully fitted and ready for display. The jump is worth it for hobbyists who want accurate panel lines, pad-printed placards that resist fading and a heavy, realistic feel without the time investment of a build-from-box project. An elevating cannon adds a dynamic display option absent on static-entry models.

For display-focused collectors

The model suits collectors and military-history enthusiasts who prioritise accurate exterior detail and long-lasting finish in a compact footprint. It does not have any openings, the tracks are painted and non-moving, and the wheels do not rotate, so buyers who want interior detail, working suspension or playable features should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the 1/72 scale Sherman Firefly Mk.VC model?

The model measures approximately 3.875 inches long with the cannon, 1.375 inches wide and 1.5 inches high.

How is the elevating cannon secured for display?

The cannon pivots on its mount; position it at the desired angle and it will hold by friction without screws or glue.

Do the pad-printed markings need any protective coating over time?

No, the pad printing resists fading and peeling like decals, so no clear coat or touch-up is required.
