Hybrid instant-digital camera for creators

The Leica Sofort 2 blends instant film output with digital capture in a single red body. A 2.4 mm f/2 lens and 1/5" CMOS sensor produce 4.9MP images that can be saved to microSD or printed immediately. The 3" TFT LCD lets you review every frame before committing to film, while the Leica FOTOS app adds Bluetooth transfer and remote control. It suits travellers, bloggers and anyone who wants both physical prints and shareable files.

Simple setup with app pairing and film loading

Charge the internal lithium-ion battery, insert a microSD card and load the included 100-sheet film pack. Pairing with the Leica FOTOS app over Bluetooth is straightforward, though occasional connection drops can interrupt remote shooting or image transfer. The front-facing release button simplifies selfies, but the wide 28mm-equivalent field of view demands careful framing to avoid distortion. Internal memory holds roughly 45 shots if the card is full or missing.

Check film compatibility

Verify you are comfortable buying ongoing packs of Leica-format instant film in neo gold or warm white, as no other film type works. Confirm your smartphone runs a supported OS version for the Leica FOTOS app, otherwise Bluetooth features and selective printing will be unavailable. Ensure you have a microSD card for extended storage beyond the 45-image internal buffer. The camera does not accept interchangeable lenses or external flash units.
