PC gamers wanting immersive 360-degree audio

This headset suits Windows users from XP through 10 who want virtual surround sound with a flexible microphone and in-line controls. Buyers needing Mac surround processing or console compatibility should look elsewhere as drivers are Windows-only and the connection is USB-only.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 7.1 USB version or a stereo alternative?

The headset uses a Sades decoding chip to deliver 7.1 channel surround sound over USB, creating a 360-degree sound field for PC gaming.

What does the 7.1 surround figure mean when I am actually playing?

The 7.1 channel processing lets you hear positional audio cues from all directions so you can detect movement you cannot see on screen.

How does the USB connection limit what I can use this headset with?

USB audio requires Windows XP through 8.1 with downloaded drivers, while Mac works generically without any driver installation.
