Questions about this item

What does the 16Gb Fibre Channel speed actually deliver when the card is installed in a server?

The adapter runs at up to 16Gb per second over a single Fibre Channel port, giving you 16Gb throughput to the SAN when the fabric and storage also support that rate.

How does the PCIe 3.0 x8 interface limit the card in practice?

The x8 lane width at PCIe 3.0 provides enough bandwidth to sustain full 16Gb FC line rate without bottlenecking the host bus.
